AHC Purchases Takoma Home Health in TN

(High Point, NC, June 30, 2009) Effective July 1, 2009, Advanced Home Care, a High Point-based home care company that specializes in providing a full range of home health services and medical equipment, will purchase Takoma Regional Home Health Services, located in Greeneville, Tennessee.
Takoma Regional Home Health Services, a division of Takoma Regional Hospital, provides skilled services to patients in Cocke, Greene, Hancock, Hamblen, Sullivan, and Washington counties in TN. After this transition, Advanced Home Care will continue to provide skilled nursing, rehab therapy, social work, home health aide, and infusion services to patients in this area and will also begin providing home medical equipment in a coordinated manner.
Advanced Home Care's senior leadership team, as well as representatives of Takoma Regional Home Health, are working diligently to ensure that the changes will result in a smooth transition and that patients experience no disruptions in service as a result of the merger.
