Merger with Home Oxygen Services in VA

(High Point, NC, October 1, 2009) Effective October 1, 2009, Advanced Home Care, a High Point-based home care company that specializes in providing a full range of home health services and medical equipment, merged with Home Oxygen Services located in Lexington, Virginia.
Home Oxygen Services, previously a department of Carilion Clinic Stonewall Jackson Hospital, provided oxygen and nebulizers to patients in Rockbridge County and surrounding areas. Advanced Home Care will expand the services previously offered by Home Oxygen Services to include a full line of Home Medical Equipment (HME), respiratory therapy, and pharmacy services to patients in this area in a coordinated manner.
Advanced Home Care's senior leadership team, as well as representatives of Home Oxygen Services, are working diligently to ensure that the changes will result in a smooth transition and that patients experience no disruptions in service as a result of the merger.
