AHC Receives United Way Eagle Award

(High Point, NC, January 28, 2009) Advanced Home Care, a pacesetter company for the United Way of Greater High Point, is a recipient of the United Way's Eagle Award for their 2008 fundraising campaign. Advanced Home Care raised over $87,000 in this campaign, exceeding their goal by more than $3,000.
At an awards ceremony held on January 20, 2009 at High Point University, Advanced Home Care was presented with the Eagle Award for their outstanding Leadership Giving in 2008. Leadership Givers are those individuals who pledge at least $1,000 to the United Way annually. Advanced Home Care had a total of 31 Leadership Givers in 2008, an increase from 27 Leadership Givers in their 2007 campaign.
"Advanced Home Care chooses to support the United Way Campaign each year because we believe this charity makes the biggest impact on those who need our help the most. The fact that 31 of our employees donated at least $1,000 individually to the United Way really speaks to their selfless commitment to the communities we serve," says Joel Mills, CEO of Advanced Home Care.
Advanced Home Care credits its successful campaign results to the tremendous support of the organization's leaders, the creative spin they put on their fundraising efforts each year and, most importantly, the caring spirit of their employees. As a result of the company's commitment, they have won numerous United Way awards. This is the sixth year in a row that Advanced Home Care has received the Eagle Award for Leadership Giving.
