Skilled Nursing
Advanced Home Care has more than 270 highly skilled nurses (RN) and licensed practical nurses (LPN) available to provide in-home healthcare to patients as needed. Our skilled nurses evaluate patients’ health and provide an individualized treatment plan to address the patient’s specific needs. Most importantly, they are able to answer questions and teach patients and caregivers the skills they need to regain maximum health potential and independence.
Some of the services our skilled nurses provide include the following:
- Disease management
- Wound, ostomy and continence management
- Venipunctures
- Care and maintenance of urinary catheters (see #2)
- Administration of intravenous, intramuscular and
subcutaneous medications - Care of central lines
- Enteral and parenteral nutrition
- Patient and family education
- 24/7/365 on-call availability for emergency situations
In addition, our home health aides are available to provide assistance with personal care and help reinforce lessons learned during physical or occupational therapy. All of our home health aides are certified nursing assistants who have undergone an extensive background check, and they receive supervision from one of our physical therapists or skilled nurses.
