AHC United Way Campaign Brings in Over $85,000

(High Point, NC, September 1, 2009) Advanced Home Care, a pacesetter company for the United Way of Greater High Point, has just wrapped up its annual fundraising campaign. Through a combination of Hollywood-themed fundraisers and corporate and employee pledges, Advanced Home Care raised over $85,000 for the United Way in their 2009 campaign.
"Advanced Home Care chooses to support the United Way Campaign each year because we believe this charity makes the biggest impact on the communities we serve. They are truly the experts at identifying members of our community who are in the greatest need by working closely with their partner agencies," says Joel Mills, CEO of Advanced Home Care.
Advanced Home Care credits its successful campaign results to the tremendous support of the organization's leaders, the creative spin they put on their fundraising efforts each year and, most importantly, the caring spirit of their employees. As a result of the company's commitment, they have won numerous United Way awards. Advanced Home Care is a five-time Eagle Award recipient for their outstanding Leadership-level giving, and has also won the Chairman Award five years in a row for campaign excellence. Additionally, Advanced Home Care was honored by the United Way of North Carolina in 2005 and 2007 with the Spirit of North Carolina Award for the organization's exceptional efforts and achievements in giving.
Some of the most successful and popular fundraisers in this year's campaign ranged from company executives washing employees' cars to staff members competing in movie, music, and television themed trivia contests. Employees paid to participate in these creative fundraisers to benefit the United Way.
