Speech Therapy
Advanced Home Care’s expert speech therapists work with patients in their homes to improve their speech, swallowing and feeding capabilities. Similar in process to physical or occupational therapy, speech therapy is an extra discipline that is of particular importance to stroke patients undergoing rehabilitation.
Our program begins with an individualized evaluation to determine each patient’s specific needs. Then, in conjunction with the patient’s physician, our therapists develop a comprehensive plan of action that can include therapeutic exercises and the use of adaptive equipment to help the patient communicate most effectively.
