Safe Landings for Joints Program
Advanced Home Care helps patients who have undergone Total Hip Replacements (THR) and Total Knee Replacements (TKR) through our Safe Landings for Joints program. The goal of this program is to improve mobility and strength in TKR patients and to improve balance and strength in THR patients so they are able to move around with enough confidence and stability to safely get to and from outpatient therapy.
Our Registered Nurses and Occupational Therapists provide patients with the care they need in the comfort of their homes after being discharged from the hospital following THR/TKR surgery. Patients who have recently undergone one of these surgeries do not have the strength that is required to travel in and out of the house, go up and down stairs, or get in and out of a car to get to outpatient therapy. For this reason, our clinicians work with them to build up their strength, balance, and flexion/extension so they can get back to an independent and active lifestyle.
